What We Do

Serving Residential Properties Old & New

We provide DET Testing. Our blower door & duct work tests for new construction provides energy efficiency data for developers and HVAC businesses to know the quality of build!

Our tests for EXISTING homeowners helps to locate leaky areas where conditioned air is escaping. Then we can develope a plan that can help with electric & AC costs.

Blower Door Testing

A blower door is a tool used to measure the airtightness of buildings. This machine can also be used to measure airflow between building zones, to test ductwork airtightness, and to help physically locate air leakage sites within the building’s duct system. This particular diagnostic test helps our technicians quantify the amount of air entering or escaping a building. Then our team will use the diagnostic information gathered to identify specific areas of air leakage, and then make necessary improvements to help you save energy and money.

Establishing proper airtightness in your home or building is important for many reasons, including:
  • To reduce energy consumption caused by excess duct leakage
  • To avoid moisture problems caused by condensation
  • To avoid air drafts and the discomfort associated with an inefficient HVAC system
  • To control outdoor air contaminants, odors, and even pests from entering your home or building
  • To maintain proper indoor air quality

Encapsulated Services

Air duct testing involves the sealing off of an entire ventilation system, then pressurizing it in order to determine how airtight the duct work is. Our technicians determine how much air pressure is escaping from the ductwork, and from where. Pinpointing these problem areas allows us to seal and repair them to ensure more efficient HVAC system performance.

Insulation Services

How effective is the HVAC system in your home or building? Our team at Energy Duct Testing can assess the situation through a series of tests to help locate potential leaks in your duct system, then develop a plan to address any issues uncovered. Leaks in your duct work can lead to heated or cooled air escaping the structure in various areas, resulting in not only a less efficient HVAC system, but also higher energy bills. Protect your investment with quality DET testing, and save money and energy while ensuring the temperature in your space is properly regulated.

How do you know if

Your Ducts
Are Leaking?

We Can Help

A detailed report
highlighting air leaks & needed repairs

According to ASHRAE, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, 75% of buildings have duct leakage, which means home and building owners are potentially overpaying on energy bills and living with less-than-optimal HVAC performance and air quality. Our team at Energy Duct Testing can help!

Some signs that your ductwork may need attention are utility bills that are higher than usual, uneven heating and/or cooling throughout the house or building, your AC seems to be making your space very dusty, or indoor air quality seems affected. Through our DET testing, our expert team can assess the quality and efficacy of your duct system, and make the best recommendations about how to repair any issues that may be found.
